Sleeve has paper flag to top front left and feather stuck to it. Signed on rear but date of signing is 73. This came to me from a friend of Hans so guessing it was signed prior to release. Sleeve is fully intact and clean with a strong spine but has light ringwear and general ageing. Vinyl is clean and shiny with some faint, superficial marks seen under strong light. Labels clean. Photos available upon request.

Country: Netherlands

Released: 1974

Recorded at Bennink's stable near his home at the Mijndensedijk in Loenen aan de Vecht, 1971-1972. Originally released in 1974. Re-issued in1978.

Mentioned in Erik van den Berg - De Wereld als Trommel, p. 154 (biography about Bennink).

Bennink confirmed this during a radio interview in April 2008: He used his UHER equipment for this, so indeed he did all the recording himself.

Bennink received the tape with the recording of the Brazilian jungle from Dutch composer Peter Schat. The tape was also used for the Opera "Reconstructie" (Reconstruction, in which Peter Schat was one of the co-composers) (source: "De Wereld als Trommel" (p. 135).

1974 release copies have little objects (feathers, Dutch flags, paper with pencil marks etc.) glued to the front by Bennink and are signed by Bennink on the back - dated '74. Re-issue signed on back with 1978.
