Sleeve Condition: Very Good Plus (VG+)
Lovely copy. Vinyl is clean and glossy with only light signs of play. Sleeve is smart and clean, solid VG+ just has price sticker removal mark to top right, nice strong spine.
Trumpeter Woody Shaw’s 1972 second coming ‘Song of Songs’ is a short climb out of his Blue Note hard-bop era, into the contemporary movements and innovation of jazz in the early 70’s. This rare OG slab is a fine example of free-jazz that’s easy on the senses, yet still feeds the brain the right amount of psychedelics. Heavy resemblance to pre-fusion Miles Davis and Don Cherry’s eastern chill-out jams. -Elliot, Dig Vinyl
