Quintessential early 70’s break-heavy funk from Sly & The Family Stone, straight outta San Francisco’s counter-culture melting pot! This is an early UK pressing on a bargain price due to some sleeve love. This recording is dominated by Sly’s unpredictable drug use and inter-band tension, somehow making it one of their best musically. Their emphasis on the current political turbulence and breakdown of the ‘American Dream’ gives it a permanent seat on the hall of fame.- Elliot, Dig Vinyl
